Ridgley’s ‘spectacular’ Sanderson Falls in Tasmania will soon be accessible to tourists and locals alike, thanks to the efforts of the latest Green Corps crew.

Burnie alderman and forestry activist Malcolm Ryan has owned the West Ridgley site for years, but has always wanted open it up for the whole community to enjoy. Central Victorian Group Training Limited worked with Mr Ryan to establish the project.

Mr Ryan said it wasn’t just the community and tourists who would benefit from the construction of a walking track and picnic facilities.

‘They’re (Green Corps team members) learning dry-stone walling, milling timber, as well as plant identification and track construction,’ he said.

The track is expected to be open to the public from early August.
