The Federal Member for Franklin, Julie Collins, has welcomed three new Australian Government Green Corps projects to commence soon at Kingston, Cygnet and Woodbridge.

In Kingston, local youth will work on a Central Victorian Group Training Limited project at the Forest Glen property – an 84-acre property consisting of approximately two-thirds natural bush and one-third pasture and semi-cleared areas. Activities planned at the site include the rehabilitation of an existing agricultural area.

At Cygnet, participants will work with Conservation Volunteers Australia and a number of local community groups in the renovation and painting of local buildings of heritage significance.

And, in Woodbridge, participants will be looking to develop and enhance important local features. This project will link features of the Coastal Heritage Walk, including the Avenue of Remembrance, the Woodbridge Hall garden and the Town Gateway project as part of the community heritage track. The project will be the combined effort of Central Victorian Group Training Limited, local community groups and council.
